The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has recently added khapra beetles to the list of invasive pests that need mandatory inspection and quarantine, even with a special declaration on phytosanitary certificates originating from Taiwan. There is no getting around this. The fee for this inspection and quarantine is starting at AUD 100 and going up from there depending how long it takes to check the seeds, according to a customer who recently informed us of his interactions with the Department.
Again, Yang Ming Adeniums is unable to circumvent this requirement.
